But I mention the humidity because on Thursday this week, Cliff's school had a white coat ceremony for the 1st and 2nd semester Medical students. I guess they do this at every medical school. (I had no idea) To start out the ceremony they had the governor of St. Kitts and Nevis parade in with music playing and escorts. Then they had 2 girls sing the national anthem from the U.S. and then a guy from St. Kitts sang their national anthem. After a couple of speeches, which I fought Nyah to sit through, they had the official white coat ceremony. Each student walked down and signed their name in the U.M.H.S. book of records.
They said that every medical school has a book of records and every medical student signs it. Then the professors from the school helped each student put on their "White Coat" signifying that they are in medical school and would become Doctors. It was pretty neat to see Cliff walk down there and sign his name in the book and have his white coat put on. He already looks like a Doctor to me!!!

You're still probably wondering what the humidity has to do with all of this. Well, since we have lived here and I have been pregnant, I have been so sick that I haven't exactly gone out of my way to look amazing. On Thursday, I wanted to actually look like a girl for once so I straightened my hair, did my makeup, and put on a cute skirt. The ceremony was in doors so it was air conditioned and my hair stayed pretty good. Well, during the ceremony we could hear it pouring outside and of course they're not going to take pictures inside!!! We walked outside and my nice straight hair just went "POOF" frizzy, wavy, and a complete waste of time. So here in these cute pictures, I again look like I didn't take the time to look presentable. But now I have a back story so hopefully those of you with curly hair can relate!! Atleast my family looks adorable!

I think you look GREAT. But you always do--and you're probably thinking: That's not saying much coming from you :)
I think the white coat ceremony sounds cool. I think if I were you I might even get a little emotional (being pregnant and all) I can't wait for you guys to move back though. You should do rotations and live by us :) Oh wait, we're moving.
Oh gosh Lisa, your hair looks good no matter what. This humidity kills us all! Sorry I wasn't available to watch Nyah...worst part is our dinner appt. got cancelled!
I am glad you got a real blog I couldn't figure out the other one. I think cliff looks like a dr. in his coat to. It was fun to see ya at the reception, and you did a great job with all the decorations and food. love ya all, try to keep that hair under control, I know its hard mine would do the same thing. kim
