Making the best of it.....

This last week we have had little to no power here on the island. Two of the main engines at the power plant were burned up so they have had us on a load shedding schedule. This means that they rotate the power throughout the different sections of the island. This way everyone gets power for a couple of hours and then it rotates to another section. Well this would be tolerable if they actually stuck to that plan. Unfortunately, we got skipped. Our power went off at 7:30 a.m. and didn't come back on until 3 p.m. the next day. All of the food in our fridge went bad, we haven't been able to do laundry, and the worst part for me is that we haven't had air conditioning at night. All of this aside, we've been trying to make the best of it. Because I am 33 weeks pregnant the severe heat here makes me a little sick so we have been living at the beach or the pool. Let's just say Nyah is loving life! Every morning she wakes up and says "SWIMMING"!! She has been such a good little girl through the heat and dark nights I can't even begin to explain how great she's been. If only I could suck it up like she has.

I didn't know you took any pictures from Reggae Beach the other day. You will have to email them to me. I'm game for the beach anyday for the next 2 weeks. But I do have to make time to get some packing done also.

HOLY COW!! That sucks so bad. You should just come live with me :) We have great air conditioning, power, an extra bedroom for you, the weather is like 80 every day with NO humidity...am I making it enticing?

I'm SOOOO sorry. I really hate being hot. I also hate having NO food. HELLO, you're pregnant! You need food and air conditioning. It's the staples that keep us sane. I don't know how you do it.
